Innovative Projects Grants

Awarding grant funding for projects that enhance learning or the student experience by bringing new methods, ideas, products or technologies to WGSD

Application General Information

  • Available to any teacher, staff member, parent or student of the Webster Groves School District
  • A principal or teacher must be the grant contact listed on the grant application
  • Budgets for innovative projects should be in excess of $1,000
  • Requests for funds less than $1,000 are more appropriate for school PTOs/administrators

Application Process and Timeline

  1. Complete the WGSD Foundation Preliminary Proposal. This required first step is to confirm that your idea is a good fit for the WGSD community and fits the WGSD Foundation’s mission and the purpose of the Innovative Projects Grants.
      • Access to the preliminary proposals open at the beginning of the school year
      • 2023-24 preliminary proposals due by 7 pm on October 13, 2023
  2. Receive feedback for WGSD Foundation regarding preliminary proposal.
  3. Complete the WGSD Foundation Grant Application and budget template.
      • 2023-23 grant applications due by 7 pm on November 22, 2023
  4. Review of applications by WGSD Foundation Grants Committee and Board of Directors.
  5. Check presentations with WGSD administration.
      • Checks are presented by Spring Break
      • WGSD Foundation will notify all applicants of the status of their applications. As appropriate, the foundation does its best to find alternate funding for the grants it cannot fund
  6. Implementation of the awarded grant!
